Bio:
Mark Gonzalez is a native San Diegan that comes from a large Mexican family, which unknowingly has provided him with much of his material. The quiet middle child of five, Mark has definitely found his voice on the comedy stage. With clean humor and a unique perspective on growing up in a Mexican household, Mark has become a crowd favorite at many Southern California clubs and venues.
Mark was the winner of Los Angeles’ longest running comedy contest, Uncle Clyde’s Comedy Contest at the IceHouse Comedy Club in Pasadena CA. Additionally Mark has opened for many Nationally touring Headliners (list available upon request)as Rain Pryor in her first ever
stand-up comedy performance performance at the World Fameous Comedy Store. Mark has also appeared on Pauly Shore’s new reality show, Minding the Store,as well as numerous appearances on
San Diego’s AM 1170 KCBQ Comedy Slam.
Mark started his stage career as a member of a Comedy Improv Troupe and has trained with various improv troupes throughout San Diego before deciding to tackle the stage on his own.
